Elizabeth, like many widows of goldsmiths and silversmiths, took over the shop of her late husband, Thomas. She entered her first mark as a smallworker on 8 August 1794, located at 7 Westmorland Buildings, Aldersgate Street. She diversified her business, working as a cutler, toy dealer, and goldsmith.

Examples of her work may be seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum, National Museum of Women in the Arts, and Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute.
